I finally got word from Mexico that Gabriel got the stuff I sent. Two packages filled with toys,clothes,books,bubbles,etc. He loved it!
I haven’t actually spoken directly to Faustino yet because he doesn’t get a signal in the village he lives in,and has to travel 10 miles into town to make/accept a call. He had spent the entire day in town trying to call me,but my phone was off. He got the message to me through my sister,but by the time I tried calling back,he had already headed home again.
He says I should be getting pictures soon since I sent a disposable camera. I’m supposed to wire him the money in a week or so for the shipping. I can’t wait!! I miss him so much, 2 years is too long. I got to hear his voice over the phone back in March, I nearly broke down in tears. He can’t remember any Engish,but i’m working on my Spanish.
I’m just happy to know he finally received the gifts I sent…it was such a pain in the ass to get them to him.
