Had a really wicked storm come through this evening. Tornado watches, 80mph winds, downed lines, trees uprooted and thrown into houses…the national guard was all over, pure craziness.

We figured it’d be safer to get the kids over to the new house because it had a stable basement,as opposed to the modular we’re in right now. We didn’t make it far because we were driving over power lines and trees were crashing down into the road all around us. We stopped at Ray’s house and got comfy in his basement.

While down there, I saw that there were old newspapers wrapped around his pipes. I got them out and couldn’t believe it..besides 73 years worth of dust pouring onto my face, I found out that the papers were from June of 1937. Sorry they are awful pics, I didn’t have time to grab the camera,so I had to resort to the cell phone.

Thankfully, both homes, all pets, and all loved ones were safe.
